February
February 1st:
I have the possibility of a living in constant interaction with the Creator, the God of my understanding.
February 2nd:
I am always on sacred ground. I must move with reverence through all Creation.
February 3rd:
Justice becomes a personal issue when it is important to me.
February 4th:
By respecting the “everywhereness” of the centre of the Universe,
I come to know my own.
February 5th:
If I am ashamed of my body, does that not mean that I am ashamed of my Creator?
February 6th:
As I constrict my life and its possibilities,
I constrict a limitless soul that has infinite possibilities for being.
February 7th:
When prayer is a natural part of life, life becomes prayer.
Then I know there is nothing in my life that isn’t spiritual.
February 8th:
The souls of our Nations are intimately linked with the souls of individuals.
Only as we begin to clean up both can we hope to live a spiritual life.
February 9th:
My task here is to be fully human. As I embrace and live my humanness,
I know my place in the oneness.
February 10th:
How can I fulfill my role as a person who enhances the earth, water, and sea,
and not be one who depletes it?
February 11th:
Who are we to insult the Creator and not do the work we are here to do?
February 12th:
It is the wise person -- or nation -- that listens when what we need is offered to us.
February 13th:
Silence -- what a rare experience! We fill up our lives with so much noise. Have we, indeed, “become other creatures”?
February 14th:
Dung leaves spots. It’s much easier never
to get splattered with it than to try to get it off.
February 15th:
When I am grounded in community, I am grounded with my God.
February 16th:
When I lose contact with my roots in the land, I am a person without a face,
without a past, without a future.
February 17th:
I change. People change. Times change. That’s what living is.
February 18th:
If I have plenty of time for everything, why am I always rushing?
February 19th:
I am grateful that Native people are so ready to share their wisdom,
and I am ready to listen.
February 20th:
Awareness without action lacks sincerity.
Are we as a culture open to what we have to learn?
Truly, we need to be more afraid of ourselves than of Native cultures.
February 21st:
The Old Ones probably have many ways to help us be healthier than we are.
We only have to listen.
February 22nd:
Tribal cultures, like endangered species and plants,
may be the key to our survival as a planet.
February 23rd:
As I open myself to questions being posed by those from other systems, I gain perspective on how many of my beliefs are system based.
February 24th:
If I revise my idea of what is “civilized,” I might come closer to my Creator.
February 25th:
We are living in a time of the beginnings of massive change. Who are our warriors?
February 26th:
In earth, air, sun, and water, I see the fine hand of the Creator.
Without these treasures, I would not be here to give thanks.
February 27th:
Our inner beings know how to live fully and how to live
as one with all things. It is a gift from our Creator.
February 28th:
I welcome the richness and life-enhancing lessons I learn from tribal peoples.
February 29th:
I am wealthy when I touch the earth around me, when I know my roots,
and when I am grounded in a culture that nourishes me.
